DANIEL 6:20-22 And when he came to the den, he cried with a lamentable voice unto Daniel: and the king spake and said to Daniel, o Daniel, servant of the living God, is thy God, whom thou servest continually, able to deliver the from the lions. 21. Then said Daniel unto the king, O king, live for ever. 22. My God hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lions’ mouths, that they have not hurt me: forasmuch as before him innocency was found in me; and also before thee, O king, have I done no hurt.

I am so thankful that our God is able to deliver us from all that we face, He is a faithful Friend, and a most gracious Savior, let us continually serve our God even in the most troublesome times in our lives.

John 3:16 For God So loves the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth In him should not perish but have everlasting life.

I’m so thankful that or God, our Savior, our Friend gave his only son that we might have a life that last forever in heaven, praise His holy name.

2 Corinthians 5:1 For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.

As a tent maker by trade, Paul naturally uses the metaphor of a tent ( a temporary dwelling ) to describe the physical body which will decay and breakdown. But Paul described the redeemed as eternal that will live forever in the splendor of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Praise be to God for he is good.

ROMANS 8:5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh, but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.

Let us always be mindful of flesh or Spirit, which one will we be in the flesh or the Spirit

PSALMS 128:1 Blessed is every one that feareth the Lord; that walketh in his ways.

God’s ways are not our ways and his thoughts are not our thoughts but fearing the Lord we are a blessed people, we cannot fear man for they can only destroy the body but fear God who can cast into hell

PSALMS 121:1 I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. 2 My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth. 3 He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he thy keepth thee will not slumber.

Praise be to God who keepth us, let us rejoice in the Lord knowing he does not slumber, our savior is faithful, knowing we can stand strong in times of trouble, help is on the way.

JAMES 1:21 Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.

Holiness is a habit. It’s much more than that, of course. It’s a characteristic of God himself, displayed perfectly in Christ and imputed to our accounts by grace through faith. But in practical terms, holy living means daily discipline. We form habits, then they form us. That’s why we must weed out bad habits regularly, just as we weed our yards. An unattended garden soon deteriorates into a weed patch, and an unattended life does the same. It requires the discipline of the hoe to produce hollyhocks in our fields and holiness in our lives.

PSALM 66:18 If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me

Most of us are all too familiar with the phrase “dropped call.” It’s the common term for a wireless phone transmission that ends abruptly, often while the caller is traveling between towers. It’s odd to be talking away on the phone only to realize that no one is listening on the other end

In a way, the same thing can happen in our prayer, our sin causes interference when we pray.

PSALM 145:3 Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable. Our God is too big to be contained in facts, formulas, or finite minds. Trying to explain him is like a child trying to lecture about quantum physics to his classmates at preschool. If we could comprehend the infinite God and pack Him up within our soggy brains, He would not be eternal, illimitable, and transcendent. If we could remove the mystery of God, He would not be God after all. As theologian Wayne Grudem worry, ” It is spiritually healthy for us to acknowledge openly that God’s very being is far greater than we can ever comprehend.

2 TIMOTHY 4:7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. Sometimes we get crippled with distractions by all that’s going on in the world: injustice m, sin, materialism, and war. But if we are faithful to the end, it doesn’t matter what trials and tribulations the world experiences, because we have a Heavenly Father who is always beside us, helping us run the race. Through him, the race has already been won; all we have to do is remain faithful until the finish line comes into view.

PHILIPPIANS 4: 4 Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice

PROVERBS 4:7 Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.

When Benjamin Franklin was was seven years old, his mother gave him several pennies the first money he’d ever owned. He ran into the street and met a boy blowing a whistle. Giving all his coppers for the whistle, young Benjamin ran home to show his treasure to his brothers and sisters. Imagine his chagrin when they laughingly informed him his whistle was worth only one penny at best. Throwing himself on the floor, he cried with vexation. But the lesson wasn’t lost. “Afterward,” he wrote, ” when I was tempted to buy some unnecessary thing, I said to myself, Don’t give to much for the whistle.”

If even children can learn from there mistakes, Gods children can do the same. When we ” pay too much for the whistle ” ( our foul upon any way), it’s important to take responsibility for our actions, to repent, and to learn from our mistakes. By confessing our sins, we’re removing guilt and allowing ourselves to learn the lessons of grace and growth.

A day is never lost if a lesson is learned.

PROVERBS 18:10 The name of the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.

The last twenty years have seen Americans lose a lot of money. There were the bankruptcies of companies like Enron and WorldCom, in which investors and employees lost out; the bursting of the “dot.com” bubble in 2000; and the fiasco of the housing bubble in 2008, which led to the economic recession. Trillions of dollars of wealth have evaporated in these and other financial catastrophes. Tragic as these losses have been to those directly affected, they should come as no surprise to anyone. Everything man builds on earth is constructed with hands tainted by sin. ( PSALM 127:1 Except the Lord build the house, they labor in vain that build it: except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain. Our challenge is to invest in this world only what we can afford to lose in this world. That means entrusting our Salvation, and Faith, and our peace of mind to no one except God.

JOSHUA 24:15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.

Moses challenged the Israelites to choose life ( by obeying God ) or death ( by disobeying God ). From the moment we rise until the time we go to sleep, life is all about choosing. And it’s the collection of little, daily choices that eventually reveals what are “big” choices are. Choosing to follow Christ in the little things is evidence that we have given Him our whole heart.

Mark 13:3 tells us ( He who endures to the end shall be saved.) Sometimes Christians approach life this way as well. It can be difficult to trust God with our lives because we can’t see the ending or understand the reason for everything in the middle.

REVELATIONS 17:14 These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of Kings: and they that are with him are called, chosen, and faithful.

Because God has already won over all earthly Kings and armies, and gods, Satan, death, and sin, we can rest knowing that no matter what happens between now and eternity, there are no surprise endings.

PHILIPPIANS 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your request be made known unto God.

It is wonderful to have a God, and a Friend, who we can make our request known, praises be unto the Lord, for he is worthy.

That my friends should give us all hope that or petitions my be granted, stay in the good fight, and in all things give him thanks

NUMBERS 13:30-31 30.And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it. 31.But the men that went up with him said, We be not able to go up against the people; for they are stronger than we.

The late President Ronald Reagan stated, “Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same.”

Let not the Christian, be more than one generation away from extinction. Fight for, protect, and hand on, God, to the next generation
