Mother’s Day

Proverbs 1 says, “Hear the instruction of thy father, and forsake not the law of thy mother: and Proverbs 31 says that a that a virtuous woman’s worth is far above rubies, and that she opens her mouth with wisdom, and in her tongue is the law of kindness.

Many things shape a child’s life as they grow, the world around them, their friends, and family, but few will have more influence than their mother.  No one will spend more time with a child as they grow than their mother, she nurtures and tends to that child and loves them unconditionally.  A mother can individually shape the outcome of a child’s life with her words and actions, and the love that she shows them.  Hopefully on Mother’s Day everyone can remember their mother and her love and kindness, and if they are still able tell their mother how much they appreciate and love them.  Remember the law of your mother and remember, that law is love.

Snowmageddon 2018

Proverbs 25:13 KJV As the cold of snow in the time of harvest, so is a faithful messenger to them that send him: for he refresheth the soul of his masters.

We have had some very cold days recently and more snow than we have had in a long time, hopefully everyone has been able to enjoy this beautiful weather even with the troubles it brings with it. Hopefully everyone was able to keep their water going and hasn’t slipped on any ice, there is always something to thank God for. Our preacher’s daughter recently experienced some complications due to her diabetes, she went into Ketoacidosis, and was airlifted to Vidant in Greenville on Thursday She was released on Saturdayand got home safely that afternoon, the doctors are not sure of what caused her to go into Ketoacidosis, but we very thankful that our prayers were heard and she was released on Saturday.

Here are few local pictures from the snow, if you have any you would like to add email them to mountolivefwb@gmail.com and they will be added to the blog entry. Isaiah 1:18 KJV Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord : though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
